New joiners at Bambi’s must be at least 2 years 10 months at the start date. For ECCE we would recommend booking well in advance of this time to secure a place.

Yes. As we unfortunately do not have nappy changing facilities, all children must be toilet trained before they start at Bambi’s. Of course we understand that accidents can happen so we would ask any parent concerned about accidents to let us know and provide a change of clothes.

This is one of the most common questions we get here at Bambi’s. We have created a dedicated page here!

Yes! Bambi’s conducts it’s activities with the children through English, but we understand that adapting to a new language can be a challenge. Children are fantastic at absorbing new linguistic skills and Bambi’s is the perfect place for them to be immersed in fun activities in a supportive way. We are very proud to have many cultures represented at Bambi’s and look forward to welcoming children from all nations! Check out our Multiculture page for more details.

We’re glad you have visited our website so early, because places are very limited at Bambi’s. The fact that Bambi’s is a small pre-school is a big advantage to your child, but it does mean that parents and guardians need to secure their place early! For ECCE, start dates are each September, January and April (find out about the right start date for your child here).

We would suggest that you contact us as early as you can to make enquiries about placement next year – if you decide to join us, you can complete an application form and with your deposit, a place is secured!

Meantime, if your child is old enough, you are very welcome to enrol in part-time for the months leading up to his or her ECCE start date. This is a great way to introduce your child to Bambi’s and can be very helpful for parents who are for example, returning to work or education sooner than the ECCE start date.

This is another common question we hear at Bambi’s, and it’s very important for parents and guardians to know their entitlements. Of course, you do not need to be eligible for a scheme to access the services at Bambi’s, many parents pay privately. However, there are a number of supports available to make childcare more affordable. Check out our dedicated post on this subject.

We have provided links to Citizens Information Board articles on some of these supports – but your social welfare office will have full and up-to-date information:

How much you pay for the selected service at Bambi’s will depend on your eligibility under the above schemes. Typically these depend on your employment, social welfare, training and earnings status and whether or not you are a medical card holder. You can assess this status/eligibility with your social welfare office. Then check out our pricing page for more details.

Note: ECCE is free to children of the required age. See our dedicated page here.

Yes! You can have total peace of mind, when you sign up for the Before School service, Bambi’s walks the children to Sacred Heart National School each morning!

Yes! We collect the children and walk together from the school gate to Bambi’s when they finish, so you don’t have to worry about getting them from “A” to “B” – we’ll look after that!

No problem! Why not come in to see us, it’s a great opportunity for us to meet you and discuss your child’s needs and interests at the same time. We can help you with the form and answer any questions you might have. Alternatively if you prefer you can contact us with a question and we’ll get back to you!

Yes, provided you have authorised that person to do so. Our application form notes all of these details so you can have the flexibility you need around collections from Bambi’s.
